Finally, Christmas Windows in DC!

While walking from Chinatown metro to Warner Theatre for Sherlock Holmes today, we saw that the Macy's had done up their windows for Christmas. I was excited! DC has the lamest decorations for Christmas, which is rather unfortunate being the capital and everything. 

The windows were done really well, and maybe the Macy's here does it every year, but I was glad to finally see something that looked really nice for Christmas :)

It's a Charlie Brown Christmas!

Charlie Brown doesn't get the point of Christmas and is rather unenthusiastic about it. Susie tells him he should get involved in so Christmas activities. He wants to pick a teeny little shriveled tree as his Christmas tree. He eventually does a great job and is excited to celebrate the season! :)

Butterfly Pavilion, Natural History Museum

A butterfly (Common Morpho) on my jacket and Beanie's fascination

I have been curious about the Butterfly Pavilion since I first saw it, I think when I took nani. With Beanie coming into DC today to go to the Natural History Museum, we finally visited the butterflies :). 

Beanster loved the butterflies, though every now and then she would see them and get startled/frightened.

Pohick Bay Regional Park

After our hikes at Mason Neck Wildlife Refuge, we were famished. However, Shakti, where we planned on dining, wouldn't open until 5PM. To kill time, we were to Pohick Bay Regional Park that is across the street from Mason Neck. We just drove to Pohick Bay, parked, and then got out and got close to the bay. It was so peaceful and calm over there. After taking photos and walking out on the pier, we sat on a bench and just looked out over the water :)
