Big Cats' Big Day

2018's World Wildlife Day is is honouring Big Cats. As part of this, Panthera has a competition to write a 7 word story on big cats.

"In exactly seven words, write a story that hints at their amazing qualities, the threats they are facing, or their significance to our planet. Your words are powerful: They can inspire people to ask questions, learn, and join us in standing with big cats."

I came up with a few:

1. Bullets pelted tigers.
Only tiger pelts remained.

2. In human homes,
cheetahs found inhumane homes.

3. Hunted a trophy.
Atrophic, the forest became.

4. Between trigger and tiger,
our fate lies.

5. Once the mane pride.
Now, few remain.

6. In tears of Cheetahs,
a survivor's tale.

7. Tigers keep no secrets.
Urine the know.

8. Spotted, she camouflaged in.
Unspotted, she hunted.

9. "My rosettes. Their bullseye."
His final thought...
