Nani's Balcony. Best Balcony

On our last day at nani's before moving dad to Byculla, I sat in her balcony, looking out, people watching. It's amazing. A fun view, and I can totally see why ma absolutely loves it and spends so much time there when she is at nani's.

Goan Food! :)

Uncle Mehdi and Kausar had came to see dad a couple of days before. They talked about going to New Martin Hotel in Strand and eating Goan food and delicious it is. Since I hadn't really eaten Goan food before, I went can got some Fish Curry Rice and Fish Fry. So so good! I went back the next day and got more fish curry and a mutton cutlet.

Tram Tracks, Unearthed

In my goings and comings from Haven to Nani's house, I spent a lot of time looking out of the cab. It was my only sight seeing in my 2 weeks in Bombay this time. Today, I noticed these tracks. I wondered what they were, since they are at Fountain, and trains end at VT. Always have. What tracks, then, are beyond? Tram tracks! I got so excited, by the time I realised, but the cab was already moving and this is the only photo I was able to take.

I told people about it later, and no one else had noticed them. Even, when I noticed them, no one around seemed to be paying attention. I guess, everyone was just going on with their daily rigmarole! I was quite excited to see them, though.

They have emerged after about 60 years, when trams in Bombay stopped. Later today, the tracks were removed to be preserved and displayed at the BEST City Museum, in Sion.
