Bananas

I really like this description of the fruit:
"A clump of bananas - The fruit of which , as healthy as bread and as succulent as cream" - Jules Verne, Around the World in Eighty Days.

Of course, 'curved yellow fruit' describes it well, too. :-)

Champagne Grapes and Baby Kiwis

A trip to Trader Joe's this afternoon resulted in the buying of a new fruit. A new fruit to me, that is. Champagne Grapes. They are itty bitty purple grapes and a bunch of them has many of them closely placed. Quite delish! :)

This Trader Joe's I go to from work usually has some interesting fruit or the other. Another time I went, they had baby kiwis! Those were POSITIVELY DELICIOUS!!!!

Ataulfo Mangoes, Gah!!!

I walked into Whole Foods this morning to see crates and crates of mangoes that looked SOOO much like Alphanso, that even their name kinda looked like Alphanso, 'Ataulfo'. I walked to them full of eagerness and excitement, picked one up, smelled it and put it right back down! It smelled horrid. NOTHING like a mango! HOW it can be called a mango, I DO NOT KNOW!. I'm NOT happy about this! >.<>.<
