India beats Pakistan in the 2011 World Cup Semis!!!!!!!!

After winning the toss today and electing to bat, India put on a score of 260/9. Pakistan fell 29 runs short and the mother of all cricket matches ended with over a billion Indians yelling and screaming in pure joy!

Bulgogi at Sunny's

One never knows where one might find the tastiest of meals. If someone told me two years ago that some of the tastiest bulgogi I'll eat would be available at a regular cafe across the street from work, I would have scoffed at them. But, they would have been right. Sunny's makes a delicious serving of bulgogi. I will not say you won't get better or that I haven't eaten better even. But, for the price and the location, their bulgogi is out of this world! mmmm

My New Found Love for American Chinese Food

Up until a few weeks ago I never truly enjoyed any American Chinese meal. There were times I craved the noodles, but I think I just craved the grease that came with the noodles. Canal Express and China Cafe has been quite the find, however. Saurabh had ordered from there when I was away and loved it. After I came back, I tried their food and it's absolutely delicious. Everything I've eaten from there has been great! The Fried Rice (almost tastes like Indian Chinese Fried Rice), the Hunan Beef, the Spicy Chicken and even the Spring Roll Shanghai Style. These spring rolls are the first ones I've truly enjoyed in the US! What a find, this place has turned out to be! :) Now I crave this American Chinese all the time! :-o

Eagle Hunter's Son

Today we went for Eagle Hunter's Son at the NG Museum. This is the first time I have gone for a movie at the NG museum and left feeling less than blown away. The story, I felt, though nice wasn't extremely strong and at some points it felt that the movie dragged even though it was only a 97 minute film. The cinematography, though, was FANTASTIC. Set in Mongolia, the backdrop of the movie was breathtaking. The shots of the eagle were exquisite. So, even though the movie didn't impress, I'm really glad I got to see those shots. :)

Cherry Blossoms - 2011

Having missed the cherry blossoms completely last year, I ensured I got to see them this year before the silly snow got at them. They weren't in full bloom, however. But, they are always so pretty! I have to admit though, having seen the cherry blossoms in full bloom so many times, seeing then in partial bloom is slightly disappointing.
