Yoyogi...after FOREVER!

Yoyogi, our favourite sushi place from AFDIL is super close to Mamta's house. Saurabh had never been there and we got to her place early once, and decided to grab a couple of rolls (Salmon with avocado and Spicy crunchy tuna!) so Saurabh could try them and I missed them so!

The Birds

We went with Smita for The Birds at the Writer's Center. It is a Quotidian Theatre Company production. The acting was excellent, but for some reason the actors all put on a terrible Irish accent. Saurabh was unable to get over that. But, the play, itself, was excellent!

The story was about birds taking over the world and killing all living beings. There unaquainted people had found refuge in a barn and the play tells the story of their interaction and actions for survivals while the birds are out destroying things.

Kheema Pav for Iftaar

We had gone to Mamta's place and while there stopped at Hot Breads  for cake for Mamta's birthday and Beanie's 3 month birthday. While there, we bought pav. So, Kheema Pav for iftaar, it was! 

Pickles Turns ONE!

We went to Chris and Louise's to celebrate Pickles turning one! Happy Birthday Pickles! :D 

Foggy Bottom Farmer's Market

Goose Berries and Currants!

Last year, like an idiot, I never went to this farmer's market that is RIGHT OUTSIDE work. This year, I am absolutely enjoying it and loving all these new berries I can try! :)

We Set Our Microwave On Fire!

Sigh. I got popcorn from the farmer's market that was on the cob. We were popping it in the microwave and heated it for too long. Sigh. Bye microwave.

Aries Spears

We went to the DC Improv this evening to watch Aries Spears live, with Mallik and Rachita. We were early and got seats up front right near the stage. He "picked" on us when he wanted to do his Indian joke bit. The show was hilarious and a lot of fun! I really don't know why we don't go to the Improv more

Show Boat

We went for Show Boat at the Kennedy Center this evening. It was just okay.

Farewell, dear friend

Many nights, many memories, many laughs were had here. The new location will never feel the same. Our names, will never be on those walls. Sigh. Miss you old Froggy!
