Yesterday, I joined Saurabh and Somik, Aditi, Aryaman and Reyansh on their Shenandoah excursion. Saurabh and I were picked up at about 8:45AM and we headed out to Virginia. A long drive later we had entered the Shenandoah National Park. We parked at Elkwood trail parking lot and hiked about 1.5 miles in. It was downhill going, so coming back was interested. Especially with a 4 year old and a 5 month old. We finally got out at about 2, regrouped a little before we left to find some lunch.
Aru did quite impressively for all the walking we did. He was all geared up with his baseball cap, sunglasses and loculars (what we adults call binoculars)!!! Reyansh just enjoyed hanging around on his dad and taking in the sights! :D
