First Iceland's banking implodes (Fall 2008) causing enough havoc in the country and in Europe, then its volcano 'Eyjafjallajokull' (EY-ya-fyat-lah-YOH-kuht) errupts (on 4/14/2010) causing a shut down of flights across the EU and resulting in air traffic disruptions worse than after 9/11, while Iceland remains unaffected. Strange occurrences around the world never seem to cease.
