Two days of flower marting this weekend! :) (Friday and Saturday) The flower mart is held a weekend every year on the grounds of the National Cathedral. Along with the flowers and numerous other stalls of different things, the country for this year was Ukraine. They had performances, stalls and food from there. Also a raffle to win a trip for 2 to Ukraine. The performances were quite fun. Their music and dances are extremely upbeat and happy :)
Today we went for the Ukranian tea that was delicious. A photo of the menu is attached, so I won't mention again what we ate. I wrote my name in Ukranian - that's the photo with the random collection of alphabet-looking squiggles. Other photos include performances and random parts of the flower mart.
Every year, during the flower mart, the cathedral opens its bell chambers to the public to go up and see how they are rung (manually). We did it last year. Climbed all of the 333 steps to go up. You get a great view of DC, see some giganticccc (no really! HUGEEEEEEEE) bells and get the best view of the darth vader gargoyle. I definitely recommend doing this.

Word of caution: I have heard this is a bad thing to do for those with allergies.
Looks SO fun!!! And, I want to know how my name is written in Ukranian too!
